The KYK 7-Hisha is an attractively styled ionizer with seven plates, which makes it a mid-grade machine. This machine has only a single filter which has to be replaced every six months. It’s filter uses calcium, which can be good for people with soft water (low mineral content) as the calcium the machine adds to water boosts its performance. But forget about using this machine with hard water, it has to run frequent cleaning cycles to reduce hard water deposits. The warranty on this machine is short, it’s only two years.

Because it has only a single filter, the 7-Hisha is limited to filtering chlorine. If your local water supply is contaminated with other pollutants, you should consider a machine with more comprehensive filtration. This system will also have a hard time with hard water, because it lacks anti-scale technology.
